Can I use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean beaded jewellery and gemstones?

An ultrasonic cleaner is not recommended for cleaning beaded jewellery if the beads are porous or strung on silk or nylon thread.

It is also not recommended to use if your jewellery contains porous gemstones such as opals, ambers and agates.

We would suggest buying a specialised cloth which is designed to clean beaded and gemstone set jewellery.
