What is the casting temperature of Cooksongold alloys?

All casting alloys available from Cooksongold are designed to give maximum flow properties when using standard operating conditions.

Recommended casting temperatures generally range from 50 - 150°C above the liquidus temperature, depending on the items being cast.

As a rule of thumb, heavier sections require lower casting temperatures, with fine or filigree sections requiring higher temperatures. The exception to this rule is where alloys with higher melting ranges are used, such as high palladium white golds and platinum alloys. With these, it may be necessary to cast up to 250°C above the liquidus in extreme cases. For more detail on individual alloys we have a range of datasheets for each alloy, to find one ask for one in the question box.
